So first off, thank you for taking the time to visit our newly created website which has finally come to fruition - Now You Know It's Vegan Sweets!
"Now You Know It's Vegan" started off as an Instagram page where we would post anything we found that was vegan or accidently vegan in supermarkets, corner shops, restaurants and so on.
We decided to do this because when we first became vegan we jumped straight in to the deep end after watching a very graphic documentary called Cowspiracy.
The day after watching Cowspiracy we went to the supermarket to do our first vegan food shop and didn't have a clue where to start. We picked up some fruit, veg and cashew nuts after that the panic kicked in! What about biscuits? what about crisps? what about chocolate?
This is when we come to the realisation that we would have the painstaking task of reading ingredients every time we went food shopping. Not only was this very annoying it was also very time consuming. That is when we come up with the idea of taking photos of everything we found that was vegan and sharing it on Instagram.
We realised very quickly how useful this was to other people who was going vegan or trying to consume less animal products. Over the past 3 years we have gained 86+ thousand followers who we hope we've helped in some way!
For our next venture we want to bring the vegan goods to you starting with sweets but very soon we will expand on our range! If there is anything you would love to be able to purchase from us drop us a message and we will do our best.
